Emulsifiers
If oil and water are mixed together they will separate out unless an emulsifier is used to bind them together. Emulsifiers give the creamy consistency to creams and lotions and are used in bath oil recipes to allow essential oils to disperse in water.

| Cold Emulsifier Cold Emulsifier is made from glycerine, almond oil, pettigrain flower water and sucrose laureate. It makes it easier to produce creams because it doesn’t need to be heated. Dilution rate: Up to 6% |

| Emulsifier L Emulsifier L is produced from alcohol and is used to make milky lotions and sprays. Dilution rate: 1% |

| MF Emulsifier MF Emulsifier is made from lactic acid, coconut oil and sustainable palm oil. It is an easy to use emulsifier for making creams and lotions and is used in combination with VE emulsifier. |

| Polysorbate Polysorbate is a liquid emulsifier made from a sugar alcohol. It can be blended with essential oils to help them dissolve in water. This is important for a whole range of products from perfumes and bubble bath to mosquito repellents and pet sprays. Dilution rate: 50% |

| Turkey Red Oil Turkey Red Oil is derived from castor oil and helps to dissipate oils (e.g essential oils). It can be used in bath bombs to ensure essential oils are dispersed in the water or as a bath oil by mixing with 2% essential oils. |
