Preservatives

Citric Acid
Extracted from citrus fruit, citric acid is mainly used as a natural preservative and as an ingredient in bath bombs.
Neem Oil
Neem Oil is cold-pressed from the leaves of the neem tree and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. It is soothing, moisturising and anti-fungal, so it is used as part of a natural preservative system.
Preservative 12
Preservative 12 is made from Phenoxyethanol and Ethyhexylglycerine. It can be used in skin products except those using detergents. Dilution rate: 0.5–1%
Preservative K
Preservative K is a combination of natural Benzyl Alcohol and food grade preservatives, Phenoxyethenol and Potassium Sorbate. It works in products with a pH value less than 5.5. Dilution rate: 0.5-1.5%.
Willow Bark
Willow bark is astringent, antiseptic, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory. It may be beneficial for acne prone skin and help with the renewal of skin cells. Many of our products contain black willow bark because it acts as a preservative.
